Dr. Michelle Cruickshank from a young age has always had a passion for science and living a healthy active lifestyle. This passion drove her to pursue an education at the University of Guelph completing a Bachelor of Science degree, in Human Kinetics. Michelle continued her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with an academic distinction of cum laude, graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She was recognized for her excellence in patient diagnosis, care and education by receiving the College of Chiropractic Sciences External Clinic Award, the Ontario Chiropractic Association award and the Collaborative Patient Care Award. She has also completed training in Clinical Acupuncture at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

Dr. Cruickshank works through the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of various neuromusculoskeletal conditions, including sprains/strains, back pain and neck pain, sports related injuries and rehabilitation.  She has a strong focus in women’s health and perinatal care and thoroughly enjoys working with perinatal women throughout their pregnancy and post partum journey.

Dr. Cruickshank’s practice focuses on helping patients achieve optimal health by providing evidence-based care.  She prides herself on maintaining a patient centred care practice focusing on the individual needs of each patient and allowing for tailored treatment plans. Her unique treatment plans may include chiropractic manipulation of the spine and extremities, soft tissue therapy including instrument assisted, exercise prescription and lifestyle advice.  Additional treatment options can include customized orthotics and Clinical Acupuncture.

Michelle prides herself on maintaining an active role within the community she works. One of the more impactful volunteer experiences she has had as a health care provider was with the People with Aids Foundation (PWA) Friends for Life Bike Rally. She provided care to the various cyclists who travelled from Toronto to Montreal in support of HIV/Aids Research. Being active is an important aspect in Michelle’s life and is something that she encourages with all of her patients. Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as participating in a variety of outdoor activities. Some of her favourites include hiking, camping, cycling and downhill skiing.
