Dr. Jennifer Nash graduated from McMaster University in 2004 with an Honours
Bachelor of Health Science degree and a minor in Psychology. She continued
her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated as
a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) in 2008. As a chiropractor licensed by the
College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Dr. Nash has the ability to diagnose
and treat a wide variety of conditions. She is a member of both the
Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) and the Ontario Chiropractic
Association (OCA) and is active with the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC).
Dr. Nash enjoys being an active member of her community and has volunteered
with several organizations in the past including the Canadian Cancer
Society, Dog Guides of Canada and the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club.
Recently, Dr. Nash was accepted for an Internship position at the World
Health Organization (WHO). Dr. Nash will be travelling to the WHO
headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland to complete her placement from January
12, 2009-April 3, 2009. Working as part of the Traditional Medicine Team at
the WHO, Dr. Nash will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of
new global guidelines and technical documents related to the training,
safety and regulation of manual therapies and guidelines for evidence-based
traditional medicine, including chiropractic.
Dr.
Nash has completed additional courses in Active Release Techniques® (ART)
and
Graston Technique®
(GT) and values the importance of ongoing continued education. Dr. Nash
also has a special interest in pre-natal, post-natal, and paediatric care.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Nash specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of
disorders related to the muscular, skeletal and nervous systems of the
body. The diagnostic process includes a full detailed history of your
complaint, general health assessment, and physical examination, including
ranges of motion, orthopaedic testing, palpation, and neurological testing.
Treatments may utilize a range of methods including spinal manipulation,
extremity adjusting, electro-modalities, soft tissue therapy, Active Release
Techniques®,
Graston Technique®,
custom-made orthotics, exercise prescriptions, and lifestyle and nutritional
advice.
